Skeeter Welcomes Angler Carl Jocumsen to 2025 Pro Fishing Team

Rising Star Easton Fothergill Also Signs on with Skeeter for 2025 Season

KILGORE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Professional Bass Angler Carl Jocumsen, a nine-year Bassmaster® Elite Series Angler, is officially a member of the Skeeter Pro Team for the 2025 season. Rookie sensation Easton Fothergill joins Jocumsen as a new member of the Skeeter team as he embarks on his first year as a Bassmaster® Elite Series Pro Angler. Both anglers will run the Skeeter® FXR20 PRO boat throughout the season powered by a 250-horsepower Yamaha V MAX SHO®.

“Having Carl back on the Skeeter Pro Team feels like welcoming a family member home, and we can’t wait to watch him compete this season,” said Chris Brown, Marketing and Pro Team Manager, Skeeter Boats. “Easton’s addition to the team marks an exciting new chapter, and his potential as one of the sport’s rising talents is something we are eager to watch unfold.”

Australian native Jocumsen, originally a Skeeter team member from 2011 to 2016, made history as the first Australian angler to qualify among the top 100 anglers globally in the Bassmaster® Elite Series. He fished his first BASS® tournament in 2011 when he relocated to the United States in 2010 after winning the Australian Bass Fishing Championship. The three-time Bassmaster Classic® qualifier now has 124 BASS® tournaments under his belt. Jocumsen boasts 11 Top 10 finishes, including a first-place victory at the 2019 Cherokee Casino Tahlequah Bassmaster® Elite at Lake Tenkiller and a second-place finish at the 2020 Bassmaster® Elite at Santee Cooper Lakes.

"I'm beyond excited and proud to be back home with the Skeeter family. My U.S. bass fishing career is where it is because Skeeter gave me a chance at the very beginning," said Jocumsen. "My first American-built bass boat was a Skeeter ZX190 back in Australia, and now I'm in my dream boat again competing against the top anglers in the world. 2025 is going to be a big one, and I can't wait to get started."

Hailing from Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Fothergill is the 2023 Bassmaster® College Classic Bracket champion. In 2024, he earned the B.A.S.S. ® Open Elite Qualifiers’ Angler of the Year title, and boasts three top 10 finishes, including two first place wins, which double qualified him for the 2025 Bassmaster Classic® and earned him a spot in the 2025 Bassmaster® Elite Series.

The 2025 Bassmaster® Elite season kicks off at St. Johns River in Palatka, Florida, Feb. 20-23. Fans can follow Jocumsen and Fothergill during the season and at the 2025 Bassmaster Classic® on bassmaster.com.
