CONTINUAL INNOVATION. CONSTANT TESTING.

Commitment to input from pros, dealers, and consumers.

That’s how we’ve created so many firsts in the last 60 years, and why we’ll create so many in the next 60 years.

Skeeter Was the name on the first:
  • Bass boat
  • U.S. Coast Guard approved bass boat
  • V-hull pad design
  • Sponson hull capability concept
  • Production composite bass boat
  • Aluminum deck grid system
  • Completely closed transom with no splashwell
  • Full Length Rod Box and Rod Staze™ system
  • Bass boat rated for a 150 HP engine

Our Focus is on you

The Marine Industry CSI® Program honors companies that maintain a customer satisfaction rating of 90 percent or higher. Proof that our focus stays on you.

Sixteen Years Strong

Thanks to our customers, for the SIXTEENTH consecutive year, SKEETER was recognized for “Excellence in Customer Satisfaction for Fiberglass Outboard Boats”. We were the ONLY CSI recipient in the “Fiberglass Bass Boat” category as part of the 2017 Marine Industry CSI® award program.

Control is Crucial

Control is crucial on the water.Control is crucial on the water. But so is being able to turn at a second's notice. We don't sacrifice one for the other. In high-speed tournament conditions, you may have to turn on a dime. That's not when you need your hull to list, slip, or skip. And on a SKEETER, we virtually eliminated the possibility. We adhere to NMMA®, Coast Guard, and American Boat & Yacht Council® standards, but that's really just the starting point. We go way beyond them to build a boat you can rely on when you need to.

THE 90° MANEUVERABILITY TEST

This critical test is just one example of how we not only adhere to, but exceed our industry's technical practices. The test is conducted by accelerating the boat to its maximum top-end speed, and then sharply turning the steering wheel 180 degrees with no change in settings. The boat passes the test by completing a 90° change in direction without the driver losing confidence in his ability to maintain control. All SKEETER boats have passed at their maximum speed and horsepower ratings.

SAFETY INNOVATION

All our boats are equipped with an aluminum emergency boarding ladder. Because climbing into your boat should be easy, we've made it simple.

All you have to do is pull the pin, let the ladder release and lock into place, then climb back in.

As we were starting to build boats, Americans were starting to think about going into space.

Over the years, as aerospace technology grew, SKEETER became the first boat manufacturer to integrate it into our systems. Maybe that's why our boats seem to fly across the water. Our design team continues to incorporate those long-standing aerospace principles into our concepts, our materials, and manufacturing processes. But that kind of thinking is nothing new around here. We've been pushing the envelope in technology and innovation for over 60 years.

INNOVATION

Composite One-Piece Floor: The floor of the SKEETER FX, i-Class and ZX is one solid piece. It is composed of a PVC crosslinked foam, sandwiched between layers of fiberglass.

EX-Cel Composites, for the Industry's Strongest Hull: The transom, stringers and floor utilize aerospace derivatives known as EX-Cel composites, which provide outstanding strength and durability.

A Finish That Lasts: The polyflake finishes are applied using an exclusive "dry flake" system that allows the flake to be sprayed behind the clearcoat for a lustrous, durable finish that resists migration through the clear gel top coat and lasts longer. Additionally, it has our extra-tough Armorcoat? gel coats that are considered the best in the industry against weathering and blistering.

Aluminum Torque Transfer Transom & Stringer System: This revolutionary system bonds high-test aircraft structural aluminum to the EX-Cel transom and stringer to eliminate hull stress.

Aluminum Deck Grid System: Aluminum structure provides superior support and strength, with lids that close tightly and lock securely.

QUICK HOLE SHOT

When you bring the hammer down, a quick view of the bow is all you get. Getting on plane takes a mere three to four seconds as the hull levels into a highly aggressive attitude. Without a second to lose, we put you in a better position to win.

AVOIDS CHINE WALKING

At the extreme level of top-end performance is where SKEETER leaves the competition behind. Delivering you responsive handling in situations when most boats lose their edge, the unique engineering of the SKEETER hull design keeps you on top and in control.

SUPERB TURNING

Take a turn for the better with less chance of hull lifting, slipping or skidding. SKEETER'S hull gives you the ability to maintain a turn in complete control either trimmed up at full throttle or at more moderate speeds. Accurately maneuver through tight situations with confidence.

NO BACKWASH STOP!

Don't worry about swamping the back of the boat. With SKEETER'S revolutionary hull design, you can now kill your run at full speed and forget about the following wake washing up over your deck and your enthusiasm.

EXTREMELY STABLE

Even when your partner is jumping around in the back, it won't affect you on the bow. Extreme stability and optimum flotation reduce rocking and rolling. We even drilled holes in one of our hulls to prove it. Four men fished comfortably, and then took the same boat to plane.

SMOOTH AND DRY RIDE

The aggressive 20-degree deep-V of the patented hull design works in conjunction with the primary and secondary reverse chines to keep the water off of you and in the lake. Smooth and dry is how every ride is remembered in a SKEETER.

Running Surface: The aggressive area of the hull combines the center pad and the inner strakes to give SKEETER the smoothest, driest ride in the industry.

Primary Reverse Chines: These concave sections are built to exacting specifications to deliver control and comfort, even in the roughest conditions.

Strakes: Angled cuts along the chines provide lift and act as a rail, deflecting water as it smoothes the ride.

Secondary Reverse Chines: Adding another layer, the secondary reverse chines deflect any additional water passing over the running surface.

Turning Chines: These important performance features limit the amount of heel the boat will experience during mid- to high-speed turns to keep you in control.

Center Pad: This is the heart of the running surface, where width, angle and height are precisely engineered to deliver the best combination of speed, handling and load-carrying capability.

Water Flow Foil (Setback): Allows water flowing under the boat to quickly rise and cover the prop while a minimal amount of hull remains in the water, reducing drag.

Sponsons: Water flowing up from the setback pushes the sponsons up and gets the boat quickly on plane. At rest, they act as pontoons that allow you to walk from side to side without rocking the boat.

Constant Curvature: A distinguishing design feature of the Skeeter hull is the constant curvature of the boat from bow to stern. With the widest point just forward of the console, you get a larger front casting deck and oversized storage. With the deck gunnel designed to intersect the hull at an angle, increased strength and rigidity prevent damage caused by dock or timber impact.

SKEETER'S REVOLUTIONARY TRANSOM AND STRINGER

Talk about strength. Our FX, i-Class, ZX and TZX190 boats use an Aluminum Torque Transfer Transom and Stringer System, adhering high-test aircraft structural aluminum to the Ex-cel transom. Stress on the transom, deck and sides are gone. To prove it, we're suspending this boat by its engine bolts, with no loss of hull integrity.

Skeeter is dedicated to multi-species fishermen with one of the most extensive and innovative product lines in the industry. Each one of our multi-species boats comes loaded with more than 65 years of design and technology standards and has been engineered to meet anglers needs.

Saltwater is special

It gets in your blood. Makes you crave big, open water, where you’re fighting a 200-lb. monster. Or running up the flats wide open to find a sweet spot of redfish. That’s why we started this line. Built by saltwater anglers, for saltwater anglers. We understand your passion because we share it. And you can feel it the moment you step aboard.

FISHING FEATURES

From stem to stern, we’ve packed each boat with every feature you want out on the water, the ones that are necessary along with the ones that are nice.

SHALLOW WATER PERFORMANCE

We’ve designed these not only for high performance, but for shallow situations. So, if you’re looking for fish in skinny water, we’ll take you to them.

ROUGH WATER PERFORMANCE

Other boats that run this shallow don’t usually perform this well in rough water. But a SKEETER is designed to be as durable in tough conditions as you are.

YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO FIGHT YOUR BOAT

Control is crucial on the water. But so is being able to turn at a second’s notice. We don’t sacrifice one for the other. In high-speed tournament conditions, you may have to turn on a dime. That’s not when you need your hull to list, slip, or skip. And on a SKEETER, it won’t. We adhere to NMMA®, U.S. Coast Guard, and American Boat & Yacht Council® standards, but that’s really just a starting point. We go beyond them to build a boat you can rely on when you need to.

THE 90° MANEUVERABILITY TEST

This critical test is just one example of how we not only adhere to, but exceed our industry’s technical practices. The test is conducted by accelerating the boat to its maximum top-end speed, and then sharply turning the steering wheel 180 degrees with no change in settings. The boat passes the test by completing a 90° change in direction without the driver losing confidence in his ability to maintain control. FLOATS SHALLOW

You want to go where the fish are. And sometimes that means the shallows. We engineered our boats for maximum performance in minimum depths. Because sometimes the difference in a great catch is a matter of inches.

SMOOTH & DRY RIDE

The aggressive 20-degree deep-V of the SKEETER hull design works in conjunction with the primary and secondary reverse chines to keep the water off of you and in the bay. Smooth and dry is how every ride is remembered in a SKEETER.
